New Vegan Locations   SÜÜP Health Bar (382 Yonge Street, Unit 1, 416-977-1312, www.suuphealthbar.com) is a new healthy vegan eatery located downtown at Yonge and Gerrard. SüüP features… you guessed it- soup! If you’re not blown away by the idea of vegan soup for lunch, think again. There is a daily selection of eight different incredible soups, from Smokin’ Black Bean Chipotle to Un-Lobster Bisque, and these unique, flavourful soups will have you lining up day after day to get another bowl. There is also a great selection of salads and fusion burritos to pair with your soup. Again, while this doesn’t sound like groundbreaking vegan fare, the taste will change your mind. The Pad Ped Gai Thai Burrito with seasoned brown rice, marinated soy protein, sweet red pepper, carrots, green onion, Chinese eggplant, sugar snap peas, and a spicy Thai peanut sauce (pictured) is a blend of healthy ingredients in a filling and flavourful wrap. The salads are nutrient-packed, like the Supergrains Power Salad, a mixture of curly and baby kale and quinoa, loaded with red onion, carrots, sweet red pepper, toasted pecans, fresh blueberries, hemp hearts, sweet Asian dressing.   New Vegan Ice Cream Parlour   Nanashake (4750 Yonge St., Unit 134, 416-226-NANA (6262), www.nanashake.com) is Toronto’s first all vegan frozen dessert parlour! “We serve a unique and original range of vegan soft-serve and popsicle treats. All of our desserts are made using frozen bananas as a base and then depending on the flavour, we add a unique combination of nuts, fruits and other plant-based ingredients.” Some of these flavours include Rosey Pistachio, Minty Chocolate, Spiced Date, as well as classics such as Chocolate, Strawberry and Original. You can also load these flavours with toppings such as black bean brownies (from YamChops!), double chocolate ginger cookies, coconut shavings, raw almonds, crunchy cereal, and Oreos. Each flavour is also available in a frozen pop form, called NanaPops.
