Job Opportunity: Executive Director of an Inclusive, Pro-Vegan Non-Profit POSITION OVERVIEW The Toronto Vegetarian Association (TVA) is an inclusive, pro-vegan non-profit organization that inspires people to choose a healthier, greener, more compassionate lifestyle through plant-based eating. The Executive Director (ED) of the organization will have overall operational responsibility for TVA’s staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission, including updating the organization’s name and branding. The ED reports to the Board of Directors and will work with the Board to develop and implement the organization’s strategic plan. We are seeking someone who is a charismatic leader, a strategic thinker and passionate about the vegan movement. The ED must be highly collaborative, innovative, and have strong relationship building and partnership skills. They must also be committed to continuous growth and improvement, for themselves, for TVA, and for the vegan movement. In addition, the ED should be acutely aware of not only the challenges, but also the opportunities for innovation during these uncertain pandemic times. Summer Jobs Postings: Food Fest Assistant & Community Outreach and Office Assistant

The Toronto Vegetarian Association is hiring for two summer positions. Important note: These positions are funded by Canada Summer Jobs and are therefore only open to those who are between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment; and are Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Veg Food Fest Assistant: Logistics and Vendor Management The Veg Food Fest Assistant will be responsible for assisting and reporting to the Festival and Events Coordinator during the overall curation of the 35th annual Veg Food Fest. The Veg Food Fest Assistant will be the point of contact for vendors.  They will be responsible for clearly communicating information to vendors, answering vendor questions, and managing vendor logistics. Under the guidance and alongside the Festival and Events Coordinator, the Veg Food Fest Assistant will be responsible for the delivery and execution of the vendor logistics management plan for the 35th annual Veg Food Fest.
