Veggies of Hamilton-Burlington This donut shop in Hamilton closed last year and then re-opened as a vegetarian/vegan bakery and cafe! In addition to plenty of vegan donuts, they now also serve other sweets, soups, chili, and sandwiches. This group will meet at Doughboy Bakery (635 Greenhill Avenue) in Hamilton on Sunday, March 17th at 12:30 pm. RSVP to by March 16th at noon. Dinner Social Group The Dinner Social Group will meet at Saigon Lotus (6 St. Andrew Street in Kensington Market) on Thursday, March 21st at 7 pm. RSVP to by March 19th.   East End Vegetarians The East End Veg Group will meet at 7 PM at the Green Earth Vegetarian Cuisine (Gerrard/Broadview) this Wednesday Feb. 5th. Please email Susan at by the end of Monday, February 3rd to RSVP. Durham Veg On Saturday, February 8th, Durham Veg has arranged for vegan chef, Gabriella Budani to prepare a North African-inspired multi-course meal as part of Hot Roots Festival.  For $25, DurhamVeg gets a private room and dedicated kitchen and chef for the following exotic 3-course meal:  1) Moroccan Peanut Soup, 2) Fake Chicken Tagine with Olives and Preserved Lemon served with couscous, 3) Segmented Blood Orange with a spiced cashew cream. For $15, you could have a “taster version” of the above with smaller portions.   Queer Veggie Group After a bit of a hiatus, the Queer Veggie Group re-launched at the Toronto Vegetarian Food Festival!  They meet monthly on the last Sunday of each month.
