Welcome the Spring Event with the Toronto Vegan Baking Group
March 23, 2019 @ 8:00 pm - 11:30 pm$5 – $10
Welcome the Spring Event with the Toronto Vegan Baking Group is going to be good and we hope Big.
We can accommodate up to 80 – 100 persons — but that is about the limit.
It will held on Saturday March 23rd at 8 pm — and that will come sooner than one thinks.
The Cabbage town Community Arts Center had graciously allowed us to use their facility — 422 Parliament st — and it is centrally located near Parliament and Carlton.
We will have a live acoustic guitar performance by the talented and reputable Glen Garry and his band.
We will have a lot of interesting vegan cakes made by our members,
Since it is a pot luck we ask all attending to bring a vegan food item or to bake interesting vegan cake.
Wearing Spring costumes by our party guests will get them extra bonus points and is greatly encouraged. Lot of things you can get at the dollar store or a used clothing store to decorate yourself.
Here is the schedule:
8 pm — Doors open
8 – 9:30 pm – mingle and enjoy cakes and food. Awards will also be given for best cakes and costumes worn.
9:30 – 10:30 — Glen Garry and his band will perform
10:30 – 12:00 — maybe 1 am — lights go down and dancing begins with DJ music,
Cost is 5 dollars to attend for those who register by sending an email to email@example.com.
Cost at door is 10 dollars
Those who prepare a vegan cake and bring it to the event will have free admittance. But if you donated 5 dollars to us, it would be greatly appreciated to help us with costs — paying our musicians –and so we can maybe use funds for our next events. Please make sure you send an email if you will be doing this.
We need lots of cake so please take the challenge, get a nice recipe and bake a wonderful vegan cake with hopefully a Spring theme. Come before 8 pm to display your cake creation.
The Toronto Vegan Baking Group’s mission is to show how nice and cruel free vegan baking can be and to motivate members to develop their vegan baking skills.
