Vegan Supper Club Series: Thanksgiving Redux

Decadent Thanksgiving Eats Sans Tofurkey…

Fall is our favourite season… crisp air, beautiful colours, sweater weather and of course Thanksgiving. This holiday Vegan Supper Club is a celebration of Food, Community and the Harvest; featuring produce from our friends at Warner Farms and Artisan Vegan Cheeze maker Margaret Coons of Nuts for Cheese our chef Daniel Holloway has created a menu inspired by the changing of season.

New to our dinners? Join us solo, duo or with a small group in our commercial kitchen loft for an intimate platted dinner with a no-corkage BYOW setting. We hope to see you there!

Introduction Course: ‘Terrine aux Trois Legumes’ Carrot, Cauliflower and Broccoli Mousse with Potato Lattice and Pickled Pearl Onions

Second Course: Rutabaga and Parsnip Soup with Toasted Pistachios and Cracked Pink Peppercorn

Intermezzo: Merlot & Juniper Poached Pear served with Nuts for Cheese “Super Blue” and Prairie Boy Crostini
Main Course: Le Puy Lentil and Walnut Wellington served with North Bay Wild Rice, Cranberries, Charred Leeks and a Red Currant Reduction

Dessert: Spiced Pumpkin Pie with Whipped Black Mission Fig Chantilly and Sticky Pecans

Muskoka Maple Coffee, Assorted Sloane Teas, along with Sparkling and Flat Water are included.

The event begins at 7pm and dinner will start at 7:20pm or when most of the guests have arrived.

No alcohol will be served onsite; if you choose to bring wine/beer, don’t drink and drive.

In efforts to keep quality high and dinners intimate we are limiting our tickets to 16 seats per dinner. Multiple dates may be posted outside of peak season but as always this is a first come first served kind of system.

Our facility processes dairy, eggs, wheat, shellfish, soy and other allergens; we employ stringent cross-contact practices to avoid any contamination. {About Vegan Supper Clubs}

We host a monthly themed Vegan Supper Club in our second level loft kitchen.

What’s a Supper Club you ask? Think of it as an informal dinner party meant to encourage guests to mingle, share and celebrate food. Events are 19+, complimentary sparkling and flat water will be provided. Here’s a sneak peak of what to expect or check out our Supper Club Gallery.

Are they always Vegan? Yes. We want people to feel included in the discussion around food, culture and the arts and feel making these events vegan will allow more guests to participate. We also do special Gluten-Free editions a few times a year.

{About Urban Acorn LTD.}

Just like an idea, acorns begin small with the hopes of becoming something big, strong and meaningful. This was the initial push behind Urban Acorn LTD. a Flexiatarian Catering company founded by Chef Daniel Holloway and his partner Marie Fitrion.

Inspired by art, music, and using food as a dialogue for social change, Urban Acorn wants to encourage people to broaden their understanding of food and each other with the hopes of building stronger communities.

Their mostly plant-based ‘Flexitarian’ approach to cuisine, allows them to seamlessly create menus to both omnivores and vegans. Their philosophy is simple, they believe food should unite, not divide people
