This Sunday, April 26, we are partnering with Green Earth Vegan Cuisine – Toronto, which is providing 50 meals — for an incredibly generous deal! — from its delicious and varied menu to the residents of Street Haven at the Crossroads, a facility which offers emergency shelter, supportive housing, and addiction services for women at risk. We are excited to announce that Vegan Stokes Cheese is donating their full product line-up ($100 value) of their super-yummy cheese (you can freeze them to enjoy whenever you like), with the draw being held on April 26 at 5:00 p.m EST. For every $5 donated, your name will be entered for a chance to win. Pick-up will be in the Greater Toronto Area. Stokes will also be launching their online shop SOON, so stay tuned.

With the concern over vegan restaurants being forced to close their doors due to the COVID-19 crisis, Maggie Baird, the mother of singer Billie Eilish, launched an initiative in LA and New York, Support + Feed, to help out plant-based restaurants in her area and to supply those in need with plant-based foods.
Plant-Based (R)evolution and Compassion on the Streets are spearheading a similar program across Ontario to assist in keeping the local vegan restaurant economy afloat during this difficult time, to provide plant-based meals to those most vulnerable and most impacted by this current pandemic (including homeless people, individuals in shelters, frontline workers, etc.), and to introduce delicious plant-based food to as many people as we can.
Each week, we will partner with a different restaurant, which we will pay to prepare meals from the pool of donations we receive. Pick-ups and deliveries will be performed by volunteers, the restaurant itself, or we will put in place other arrangements.
