Hike & Pizza: Veggies of Hamilton-Burlington & Halton-Peel
October 26, 2019 @ 2:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Sat. Oct. 26 – Hike (2:30) and Blaze Pizza dinner (5:30)
2:30-5pm – Offa’s Dyke Path Friendship Trail. Meet at City View Park south lot with enough time to change into hiking boots and get organized to leave on time as a group. The path is rocky with uneven footing, so sturdy hiking shoes or boots are recommended. Hiking poles are optional.Bring a litre of water, hat, sunscreen, bug spray (?). If anyone prefers a minimal hike, you have the option to meet at the parking lot for Smokey Hollow side trail on Waterdown Rd. It is usually quite busy on a nice day, and there are some good photo ops in Smokey Hollow. We should arrive there around 3:45 and take a 15 minute water break and photos. More information on the trail and parking here: https://brucetrail.org/pages/friendship-trail-program/the-offa-s-dyke-path-friendship-trail
