Compassion Arts Festival
November 15 @ 8:00 am - November 25 @ 11:30 pmFree
We are excited to announce that our annual Compassion Arts Festival will be celebrating its sixth year this fall.
Despite the challenges posed by the current pandemic, C.A.F. 2020 will take place online November 15th—25th at our new festival website , created specifically for this online event.
This year’s festival line-up will feature a sampling of programs and projects that inspire the heart and move the soul. Join us in exploring some of the ways that creativity can be a bridge towards becoming the peaceful change we want to create in the world.
Some of our festival’s 2020 presenters will include a virtual tour with Kathy Stevens at Catskill Animal Sanctuary, an online art exhibit with Jane O’Hara, Women Artists for Animals with Jo-Anne McArthur and others, a True Storytelling writing workshop with TMI Project, a creativity webinar with Camille DeAngelis, videos of musicians and performing artists as well as readings and spoken word, a film screening of Jasmine Leyva’s The Invisible Vegan, speaker presentations with Joanne Kong and others, plant-based cooking demos, Roundtable discussions with Lisa Levinson, April Lang and others, educational videos on climate change from Sailesh Rao of Climate Healers, poetry readings with Donald Vincent and Gretchen Primack on the intersections of social justice and holistic nonviolence, a special virtual humane education thanks-giving program with the animals of Unity Farm Sanctuary, as well as an extensive listing of resources for exploring ways to cultivate peaceful change and compassion for all.
The festival is free and does not require membership, but some workshops and presentations will require sign-up in advance to attend. Sign up for our mailing list to be sent a reminder when the festival goes live!
