November Veg Guide Updates

November 2, 2020

Happy November! It may have started snowy and gloomy, but there’s plenty of great new places to check out in the city this month, so get out there and eat something yummy!

CASA Manila

879 York Mills Rd., Unit #1

In what we believe is the first GTA Filipino vegan menu, Casa Manila is offering a huge number of plant-based dishes! We enquired with the shop, and were assured that everything on that menu is vegan, so order tasty items such as Tofu, green beans, & eggplant adobo, and sauteed mung beans. They even have vegan key lime milkshakes!

681 Barton St. E

Hamilton’s vegan shop extraordinaire is moving a couple of blocks south in January, to a shop that’s three times the size!

“Our new space is almost 3 times the size and will allow us to double the amount of items we carry, as well as add a significant amount to our bakery section, in addition we will have a hot bar, jewish deli-style sandwich menu, and so much more.”

We can’t wait to visit their new digs on Main St. in the new year!

Impossible Burger

Various locations in the GTA

It’s finally happened! The Impossible Burger has launched in Canada! Find it at a bunch of restaurants in the GTA, including Woodhouse Brewing, Gold Standard, Maker Pizza, Ufficio The Federal, Soo’s, Patois, Bymark, The Burger’s Priest, Favorites, and Cactus Club Cafe. It’s also now being sold at stores; we’ve spotted it at Good Rebel as well as Sobeys.

Tenon Sushi

487 Bloor St. W.

Tenon has opened a downtown Toronto location! Located in the Annex, Tenon Sushi offers sushi as well as Thai dishes, appetisers, and soup. Their Markham location has been voted some of the best vegan sushi in the world by PETA in past years, so we’re expecting great things!

Haven Plant Based Eatery

366 Bloor St W

Next time you visit Haven in the Annex, be sure to show your Veg Card for 10% off your order!

(We love the Shanghai Noodles with Sweet and Sour Chicken!)

Green Haven Vegan

3080 Dundas St. W

Unfortunately Green Haven Vegan has closed its doors. There’s still plenty of good eats in the Junction if you’re in the neighbourhood.
