Veg Guide Updates: November
Who says November is a dreary month? Not us! Not with all these delicious new restaurants to try!
454 Bloor Street W, inside Eva’s Original Chimneys
Now open inside the Bloor Street W location of Eva’s Original Chimneys is this all-vegan, all Beyond Meat, burger pop-up. Featuring six different burgers, such as the Big Pun: with chilli, avocado sour cream, sautéed mushrooms, provolone, and Poppa’s Sauce. We can’t wait to try all of them, and you can too! It’s open daily after 6 pm. Pick up an ice cream when you’re done too!
13 Fort York Blvd
Dishes are vegan by default at this new cafe at Citiplace, though you can choose to add veg or non-veg proteins to many of the bowls, sandwiches, salads and wraps.
100 Bloor St. W
While it’s been open for awhile, the K&K in Yorkville has gotten a makeover and is now offering a bistro menu, with new offerings and old favourites. Along with table service, you can now also have a beer, wine, or cocktail with your bowl!
111 Richmond St. W
The same team behind the Colibri Mexican Restaurant at the Assembly Chef’s Hall has now opened an all-vegan taco place as well! Serving traditional Mexican food, veganised, LosCo Vegan sounds like a great place for lunch or dinner!
514 King St. E
Serious kudos to Odin Cafe + Bar on King East, whose recent plant-based brunch was so successful that they have now transitioned to a fully vegan space! Look for the popular brunch, as well as special vegan events!
2745 Dundas St W
Junction residents rejoice! There’s a new spot on Dundas W for vegan, gluten-free soups, bowls, smoothies, hot drinks and more!
274 James St. N, Hamilton
This new location for Rise Above will be Hamilton’s new go-to destination for vegan pizza if their preview slices are anything to go by! With pizza, wings, and beers this spot is the perfect place to take one of those “but what can vegans eat?” people out for a meal!
101 Canarctic Drive
With a recently expanded space by York University, Sweets from the Earth now has a retail location on site. In addition to the normal array of yummy baked treats, expect to find other special pastries like croissants, cinnamon buns, and more!
22 Lindsay St., S. Lindsay
Everything is made in house at Super Natural Vegan Cuisine in Lindsay, with an ever-changing list of specials and baked goods. Best of all, it’s all gluten-free and vegan, so give this place a visit when you’re in the Kawarthas!
Discount Card Updates:
229 Lakeshore Rd. E, Mississauga
This great restaurant in Port Credit is now offering TVA members 10% off! Stop by for brunch, or maybe for a sandwich, a bowl, a cocktail before a walk by the lake.
52 Village Centre Place, Suite 102, Mississauga
If you’re looking for a certified hypnotist, life coach, or holistic nutritionist, Fabiola is now offering TVA members 10% off her services. She can help you with vegan nutrition, confidence, negative habits and more!
In the Veg Guide, we noted that Savor Living offers TVA members 10% off their West-End meal delivery service. But we made a mistake. It’s actually a 15% discount to TVA members, that’s even better! Get one of their healthy and delicious meal plans today!
Use the code TVA15 at checkout to use your discount when you order.
Grasshopper on College and in the Junction are now closed.
Ragdoll Eatery at Yonge and Eglinton has closed its doors as well.
Urban Herbivore at the Eaton Centre is closed. You can still enjoy their food on Augusta at their restaurant, or on Bloor W. in the Annex Food Hall.
