August Veg Guide Updates!

edit

August 1, 2019

It’s August! We’re one month out from Veg Food Fest, but have some great new things being served up in Toronto to hold you over until then!

JUST Egg

The most exciting thing that I have to report on this month is the launch of JUST Egg in Canada! We know that right now it’s available at most Tim Horton’s in Kitchener/Waterloo, Richmond Hill, and Vaughan and we hope that this is a sign of more locations to come. Order a “plant-based omelette” with no cheese, and enjoy!

Avelo

51 St Nicholas St.
This new venture from the great minds that brought you Awai, and Away Kitchen & Cafe will be open soon in a cozy converted home just a short walk from either Yonge and Bloor or Yorkville. We can’t wait to see what they offer up!

Bloomers

715 Queen St. W.
Bloomers recently opened a second location on Queen W! This is great because this area doesn’t have a lot of vegan sweet treats. Visit for some of their amazing donuts and baked goods, and a latté next time you’re in that neighbourhood.

by CHLOE

3401 Dufferin St. (Yorkdale Mall)
Soon there will be a great new reason to visit Yorkdale: The US-based vegan restaurant by CHLOE will be opening their first Canadian location at this gigantic mall sometime soon! Expect fully vegan comfort based classics, salads, brunch and more.

Globally Local

492 College St.
There was much excitement in the TVA office when Globally Local announced that at long last they would be opening a Toronto location! The Little Italy location is entirely too close to the TVA offices, but we can’t wait for their breakfast sandwiches, chicken pretenders, loaded fries, and burgers to be available in TO!

Hotel Delilah

1036 Gerrard St. E.
This new spot in the east end bills itself as a “Bohemian snack bar, (with) meat-free menu & signature cocktails”. While not entirely veg (they serve fish), they have some great options on the menu. They’ll have rooms to rent via Airbnb soon as well, so if you’re looking for a vegan-friendly place to stay in Toronto, keep them in mind!
