Registration is open for the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon/Half Marathon and 5k, and we’re accepting members to join our team!
You can sign up to walk or run the 5k, 1/2 marathon or full marathon to raise funds to support TVA.
Everyone on the team receives a special discounted charity registration rate, and the first ten people who sign up and pledge to raise $200 or more for TVA will get free registration! But that’s not all.
All team members will receive 50% off of a running shirt from No Meat Athlete, VEGA products, free tea from MNR Distributors, and product coupons from Earth Balance. Plus, you have the opportunity to win great prizes from other sponsors including The Vegan Duchess, Whole Foods, Marni Wasserman and more if you’re one of the top three fundraisers on the team.
Our goal is to raise $12,000 for TVA to expand our outreach program, distribute more vegetarian starter kits, and bring in more high profile speakers to the Annual Vegetarian Food Festival! Most importantly, the larger our team is and the bigger our presence at the race, the louder our message that vegetarians are indeed strong, athletic and healthy. We hope you’ll join us to make these dreams a reality.
The race takes place Sunday, October 18th. But the sooner you join the team, the more time you have to fundraise and spread the word!
The race is a beautiful, flat course that follows the shoreline of Lake Ontario in the central Toronto waterfront. The 1/2 marathon and marathon begin near Osgoode Subway Station, and the 5k begins at Exhibition Place.
