Kupfert & Kim (100 King St. W., First Canadian Place, 416-504-1233, www.kupfertandkim.com), the financial district’s fully vegan, gluten-free, healthy eatery has a new second location opening in the PATH level of Sunlife Tower at King & University (150 King St. W., 416-260-7777). As of opening day on November 6th, the K&K Food Stand will also offer exciting new menu items. “We’re about to give you even more healthy wheatless & meatless options to balance out those indulgences after work.” Don’t forget that Kupfert & Kim does breakfast, lunch, and dinner (until 7:30), and you can preorder your meals for pick-up, as well as for delivery through OrderIt.ca. Rawlicious (8 locations in the Toronto area) is opening yet another location! The 9th Ontario location is set to open sometime in November at 496 Brant Street in Burlington. With the rapid growth of Rawlicious across Southern Ontario, more and more people are gaining access to fresh, healthy and raw cuisine, and experiencing how delicious vegan food can be! New Menu Offerings
Bloomer’s (873 Bloor St. W., 416-551-0532, www.bloomersto.com), the recently opened vegan bakery, cafe, and now restaurant, has a new lunch menu that is up and running! Enjoy new menu items like the Bbq Tempeh Wing Sandwich, the Portobello and Grilled Kimchi sandwich, or the the Tempeh Reuben with Avocado, as well as daily homemade soups and salads. New Vegan Food Classes
YamChops (705 College St., 416-645-0117 , www.yamchops.com) is now holding Classes! As of this month, you can come to the YamChops kitchen to learn about juicing, making homemade soups, and recreating delicious YamChops’ recipes. “Following your class, you’ll leave YamChops with our recipes, the knowledge to recreate them at home, delicious leftovers, a nifty little graduation certificate, and great coupons for your next YamChops visit!” “Please register by calling us at 416-645-0117 or by email at TalkToUs@YamChops.com. Classes are limited to 10 participants, hope to see you!” The first juicing class will be Sunday, Nov 9th and the first cooking class will be Sunday, Nov 16. Vegan Gelato and More
Boreal Gelato Café (1312 Queen St. W., 647-352-7717, www.borealgelato.ca) in Parkdale has been around for a couple of years now, but it has just come to our attention that they offer 19 dairy-free sorbetto flavours and 4 fully Vegan Gelato flavours made with almond milk! Try the Vegan Salted Caramel, Vegan Chocolate, Vegan Coconut, or the Vegan Vanilla. “Homemade with all natural and, as much as possible, local ingredients. We make every flavour from scratch in small batches with lots of love and elbow grease..” Also available are sorbetto and gelato cakes and pies that can be made vegan. A little chilly for a cold treat? Boreal also features vegan and vegetarian menu options for brunch and lunch, including a vegan chili and a daily soup. New Fitness Studio with Vegan Café
Repetitions Fitness Studio (38 Innovator Ave. Unit #1, Stouffville, 647-296-5799, www.repetitionsfitness.ca) is a new York region fitness studio with a full service vegan cafe! Owner/operator, Nadia Clarke Cordick, opened Repetitions in late October, and offers a wide variety of fitness services for all levels. “After an exhausting workout, members can refuel at our full service healthy foods cafe located within our studio. We offer a wide variety of greens smoothies, cold-pressed juices and healthy snacks. Most of our snacks are vegan, free of gluten, soy, refined sugars and are non GMO. Vegan Aisle, the online store for all things vegan, ethically-made (fair-trade), and environmentally-sustainable has temporarily closed up shop. “Vegan Aisle is currently undergoing some major changes and we plan to be back in the near future.
