Vegan Supper Club Series: Everything Changes… Part Two

Everything Changes… Again!
With the early surprise birth of our daughter, we were forced to cancel the last two days of our supper club series. Wanting to end the year properly, we’re re-doing the menu and extending our dinner to three days in November. Please see below for menu details and original theme synopsis.

It seems like the fall always brings with it lots of change and this year is no different. As our family grows and we looks for a new location for our Supper Club and catering operations we wanted to host one last Supper Club this year before we get whisked away to the wonderful world of parenthood (again!) Chef Daniel has put together a menu we hope you love, meant to celebrate the new fall season and everything it brings with it.
We’ll see you in 2018 and thank you so much for all your interest and support!

Menu
First Course: “Equinox”, Pumpkin Custard, Spiced Tandoori Oat Crumble, Hazelnut Tuile with Crab Apple and Saffron Poached Pear
Second Course: Soup Course, Creamy Corn and Cauliflower Chowder with Baby Red Skin Potatoes, Roasted Red Pepper and Blackened Poblano
Third Course: Entree, Smoked Northern White Bean “Meatball”, Porcini Espagnole with Black Trumpet Mushrooms and Butternut Squash
Main Course: Plat Principal, Okinawa Yam & Cashew Gnudi with Purple Majesty Potato Puree, Poached Purple Cauliflower, Maple Glazed Heirloom Carrots and Betterave Jus
Dessert Course: Tartes aux Pêches served with Almond Brittle Crumble, Black Currant, Pickled Ginger & Raspberry and Fleur de Sel
Muskoka Maple Coffee, Assorted Sloane Teas, along with Sparkling and Flat Water are included.

The event begins at 7pm and dinner will start at 7:20pm or when most of the guests have arrived.

No alcohol will be served onsite.

In efforts to keep quality high and dinners intimate we are limiting our tickets to 16 seats per dinner. Multiple dates may be posted outside of peak season but as always this is a first come first served kind of system.

Our facility processes dairy, eggs, wheat, shellfish, soy and other allergens; we employ stringent cross-contact practices to avoid any contamination. {About Vegan Supper Clubs}
We host a monthly themed Vegan Supper Club in our second level loft kitchen.
What’s a Supper Club you ask? Think of it as an informal dinner party meant to encourage guests to mingle, share and celebrate food. Events are 19+, complimentary sparkling and flat water will be provided. Here’s a sneak peak of what to expect or check out our Supper Club Gallery.
Are they always Vegan? Yes. We want people to feel included in the discussion around food, culture and the arts and feel making these events vegan will allow more guests to participate. We also do special Gluten-Free editions a few times a year.

Just like an idea, acorns begin small with the hopes of becoming something big, strong and meaningful. This was the initial push behind Urban Acorn LTD. a Flexiatarian Catering company founded by Chef Daniel Holloway and his partner Marie Fitrion.

Inspired by art, music, and using food as a dialogue for social change, Urban Acorn wants to encourage people to broaden their understanding of food and each other with the hopes of building stronger communities.

Their mostly plant-based ‘Flexitarian’ approach to cuisine, allows them to seamlessly create menus to both omnivores and vegans. Their philosophy is simple, they believe food should unite, not divide people
