Toronto Starch Solution Potluck Lunch
September 17 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pmDonation appreciated
Our first Toronto Starch Solution gathering for the fall will feature a talk on reversing diabetes through lifestyle changes. While doctors may tell us otherwise, our speaker is living proof that this is an absolutely achievable goal.
Nara Schuler is the author of Secrets of My Vegan Kitchen – A Journey into Reversing My Diabetes Without Medication, where she shares her journey reversing diabetes, healthful eating habits she adopted and whole food plant-based recipes.
More news for our next potluck: We’re having a draw for a spiralizer! One of our members has an extra one and we will be holding a free draw for it. If you have been lusting after a spiralizer, here’s your chance to get one.
Nara adopted a plant-based lifestyle in 2010. She wants to help others feel their best. She is a graduate of the Durham College Culinary Skills Program in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. and a graduate from Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate at T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies (Cornell University).
Please bring a potluck contribution of whole food, plant based, “no added oil” foods which could include a plate of fruit or cut up veggies. Hundreds of tasty, easy recipes are available at drmcdougall.com or fatfreevegan.
