Join us for a truly decadent evening featuring ‘The Truffle Lady”, Wanda Srdoc of White Truffles, in downtown Toronto!
Truffles are, for many, a culinary delight that is unattainable. Not so anymore! In this intimate event, Wanda (www.whitetruffles.ca) will provide a history of the white & black truffles, while integrating her exclusive products into a 3 course dinner for you to experience the divine taste of authentic truffles prepared by Chef Petar Budisa.
Paired with these courses will be wines handpicked by Alex Powell, Sommelier at Susur Lee’s flagship restaurant. As always, A Vine Romance searches far and wide to select the very best wine to complement each dish.
Enjoy a welcome wine with truffled popcorn as you mingle and awaken your taste buds. Then a cooking demonstration will show you how to incorporate the delicate flavor of truffles into 3 dishes:
Watercress salad with shaved fennel, seasonal heirloom tomatoes lightly drizzled with a Truffle dressing; truffle risotto and an almond truffle bundt cake with dark chocolate swirl and (vegan option) dark chocolate avocado mousse with truffled salt
As the foods are prepared, we’ll discuss the wine pairing and how it’s flavor profile matches with the dish. Wanda will have a few of her truffle products on hand if you’d like to take something home and try your hand at recreating one of the dishes presented!
