Save the date for December’s VITT event — ICE SKATING!
Let’s head down to Harbourfront and see what our festival stomping ground looks like in the winter. The Natrel Rink is just south of where the annual Veg Food Fest is held each September: “Tucked away behind the Bill Boyle Artport and set against the beautiful shoreline of Lake Ontario, the city’s most scenic rink awaits. The Natrel Rink has been an unparalleled skating destination in Toronto for 30 years. It has a heated indoor change room with lockers and washrooms. Best of all – skating is FREE! Hot food and drinks are available at our rink-side restaurant, Lakeside Local Bar & Grill.”
I figure skaters and non-skaters alike can come and hang out, skate or have a snowman building competition, warm up and play some board games or festive ping-pong, and bring along some veg nog and vegan baked goods to share.
The Natrel rink and Lakeside Local Bar & Grill are both open 10 am-10 pm daily. Rink maintenance is scheduled from 7:00-7:30 pm.
Skate sharpening is available for $5, and rentals are $8.
YAY VITT ON ICE! 😀 😀 😀
