We’ll start with a vegan potluck, and then registered dietitian Pamela Fergusson will give a talk about vegetarian sources of protein, calcium, iron, omega 3 fats, and vitamins D and B12, as well as tips for reducing stress, anxiety and depression with a plant-based diet.
For the potluck, please bring a vegan dish (no meat, eggs, dairy, fish or honey) to share, as well as your own plate and utensils. No pressure for those who are shy about making a dish! You can always bring a drink or a simple store-bought dish like hummus and pitas, salsa and tortilla chips, or fruit for dessert!
