Kids Summer Workshops in July and August
Looking for something to do with the kids this summer. Drop them off for a day at the farm while you go shopping, sightseeing or play golf. They will have fun, a nutritious lunch around the campfire and learn something creative. (You might not want to tell them the ‘Learn’ something part.) Come for the day or sign up for the series…It’s up to you.
Thursday July 17th – Handmade Cards with Liz Eakins 10am-3pm including snacks in the morning and afternoon. Lunch from 12-1pm
Instead of throwing stuff in the recycling bin bring some (non glossy) scraps of paper to create something new! Liz will show how to make handmade paper by creating pulp, adding seeds, petals and leaves, forming sheets with a mold and deckle, then couching and drying the sheets. When they are dry the participants will make cards out of the paper. When they give someone their handmade card with seeds impregnated in the paper it can be planted and grown in the garden. It’s a gift that keeps on growing!
Cost of workshop including lunch is $65. Materials fee is $15 paid to the instructor the day of the workshop.
