Kensington Market, Baldwin Village & Chinatown Chinatown (along Dundas and Spadina) is a great area to buy super fresh Asian produce such as bok choy, lychee nuts and whole coconuts. The Chinese traditionally avoid meat at least every full and new moon so as a result several vegetarian restaurants are located here. Kensington Market just north-west of Chinatown is also a good place to shop for produce. It has a European feel with narrow streets and open markets.
