Memories of the Durham Vegetarian Festival

Special thanks to Steve Dunk, the main person responsible for acquiring the sponsorship for this event. He also moderated the event and dealt with many unforeseen issues from dawn until dusk. Kudos Steve! 

Many thanks to Paul and Marco, our dancing pea pod and carrot. (Above) Young vegetarian author, Aurelie Pare, and her mother. Aurelie signed copies of her new cookbook, "Healthelicious". Good luck, Aurelie! Angie and David from TVA did a brisk business. There was never a dull moment! Several Farmers Markets set up so that visitors went home with fresh, locally grown vegetables and fruit. Even as it rained, crowds poured in to view exhibits and listen to speakers. Standing room only at Sunday's first Durham Vegetarian Festival!  Isshin Daiko, Japanese Drummers closed the festival. Volunteer, Anjali and friend.
