Today Jason, John, Colleen, and AngelA were witness to a cage match between Georgia and Philly: at issue, who loves us more! We tried our darndest to not do a five hour podcast, and we were mostly successful. During the shortened time we discussed:
- Five of the new books in our library: Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World (links to a blog by the book's authors with lots of yummy photos), Dispatches from Hell: A Vegan's Guide to Love, Sex, Relationships, And Other Suicidal Tendencies, Student's Go Vegan Cookbook: Over 135 Quick, Easy, Cheap, and Tasty Vegan Recipes, Hot Damn and Hell Yeah! Recipes for Hungry Banditos and the Dirty South Vegan Cookbook, and Kids Can Cook: Vegetarian Recipes.
- Being perceived as crazy for what we do (not) eat. Specifically: The media hype over a "vegan" couple that allowed their baby to die from malnutrition and neglect (by not breast feeding), vegan animal rights activists being branded as terrorists in the U.S., and vegetarian border crossing stories.
- The quality visitors we had this week (We love new vegetarians!).
Listen Now! – length 23 minutes (not hours!)
