Veggie Challenge winner's vegan delight
Wednesday, 02 May 2007

Daina Mostovoy wrote to thank us for the prize her husband, Dr. Alex Mostovoy, won in the Veggie Challenge.  The prize was a catered meal from Vegan Delights, which they put toward an event for a number of doctors and health care professionals from across North America attending a seminar in Toronto.

"We were very impressed with the entire experience: from Sunny's menu suggestions and the beautiful presentation of food, to his passion and belief in a vegan lifestyle. The evening certainly opened my mind to the idea that one could entertain the most discriminating guests using only healthy plant-based foods. The entire evening was a great success."

The Mostovoys first became interested in vegetarianism last September at the Vegetarian Food Fair, when they happened upon Colin Campbell's lecture about The China Study. "We were very impressed.  After reading the book ourselves, my husband ordered at least 10 copies and handed them out to his colleagues and friends. I know of at least 3 people who have stopped eating animal based foods since they read the book!"
