Walk 5k Along the Water for TVA

Toronto Vegetarian TeamWant to spread the word that vegetarians are strong and healthy? You don't need to be a runner to join the Toronto Vegetarian Team at the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon. You can join a team to walk the 5k from the Exhibition Grounds to Nathan Philips Square!
 

Maybe you simply want to go for a beautiful stroll along the water on a fall morning, or maybe you want to dress up in costume and grab the attention of people along the sidelines!

RawliciousEither way, everyone on the team receives a special discounted charity registration rate, plus all team members will be invited to a post-run dinner at Rawlicious, where you'll get a complimentary nacho appetizer plate and smoothie. You'll have the opportunity to win some great prizes from Whole Foods, Moksha Yoga and Vega if you're one of our top three fundraisers!

VegaLast year, 16 members of the team ran or walked to raise an astounding $7800 for TVA. You can help us surpass that goal this year so that TVA can continue to expand our outreach program, distribute more vegetarian starter kits, and bring in more high-profile speakers to the Annual Vegetarian Food Festival!

Most importantly, the larger our team is and the bigger our presence at the race, the louder our message that vegetarians are indeed strong, athletic and healthy. We hope you'll join us to make these dreams reality.

Whole Foods

When?

The walk and run take place Sunday, October 16th. But the sooner you join the team, the more time you have to fundraise and spread the word!

Where?

The race is a beautiful, flat course that follows the shoreline of Lake Ontario along the central Toronto waterfront. The 1/2 marathon and marathon begin at Nathan Philips Square, and the 5k begins at Exhibition Place.

P.S  Even if you don't want to run or walk in the race yourself, you can still support the team by sponsoring a runner on the team, or the entire team by visiting the Toronto Vegetarian Team's website.
