New discoveries

Nzyme inside

Oakville raw-lovers rejoice!  Nzyme (nzyme.ca   & 289-400-RAW1)  is a new raw restaurant at 341 Lakeshore Rd E (beside/above iGita Hot Yoga Studio) open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 to 7.  Angeline writes, "They have created a great environment and menu!  The decor is made up of recycled chairs and rescued barnboard.  I enjoyed a sample of the eggless egg salad and Matt enjoyed the kiwi cheesecake I brought home for him."

Shawn and Min Min both pointed us towards E.L. Ruddy, located at 1371 Dundas Street West (beween Ossington and Dufferin.) According to their Facebook page the items on the menu cater to vegetarians, vegans and those on a gluten-free diet, and they're open Tuesday to Sunday from 8am to 8pm (open at 9am on weekends.) BlogTO claims that the "most popular dish is also gluten free: the Huevos Yelapa ($9) is a tasty combination of fresh salsa, cornbread, refried beans and a choice of eggs or marinated tofu."
