This is your chance to hear what the organization has accomplished in the past year, give suggestions for future growth and help set the direction in the years moving forward by electing our 2015-2017 Board of Directors.

Please note: The Toronto Vegetarian Association’s Annual General Meeting is a private function open to TVA members only. Non-members who wish to attend will be required to join as members of the TVA and only members in good standing 30 days prior to the election are eligible to vote.
When? Sunday, November 22nd from 4:30 to 7:30 pm. (Meet ‘n greet from 4:30 to 5:00, meeting called to order at 5:00 pm).
Where? Friends House (60 Lowther Avenue, at St. George and Bloor).
Interested in running for the Board of Directors?
The TVA Board of Directors determines the strategic direction for the organization. We welcome candidates from all ages and a variety of skills and backgrounds, but have identified a few areas of recruitment for the 2015-2017 term:
- strategic marketing and communications
- major event planning and management expertise
- fundraising experience, including grants and sponsorships
- accounting skills
- non-profit legal skills and knowledge
- program evaluation
- nutrition expertise
TVA values diversity in leadership and we encourage expressions of interest from visible minority candidates and others from underrepresented communities.
Candidates must be vegetarian for at least one year and a TVA member as of August 24th, 2015. The deadline to submit your nomination is November 1st.
