New Vegan Cheese
Pleasantville Creamery (647-693-0697, www.pxvxc.com) is now making dairy-free mozzarella cheese! In addition to delicious flavours of dairy-free ice cream, you can now find their fresh mozzarella in a number of health food stores in the GTA, including Urban Acorn Market, The Big Carrot Natural Food Market & Ambrosia Natural Foods (with more to come!). There’s the option of Cultured Hemp & Coconut Milk (nut-free), and Cultured Cashew Milk varieties, both perfect replacements for any where cheese is essential- pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salads, or even on its own. “Our dairy-free cultured mozzarella melts, stretches and browns just like conventional Buffalo mozzarella. All of our fresh dairy-free cheeses are best consumed within 3 weeks, kept at consistent temperature from delivery to fridge, though our lucky taste-testers all agree the flavor continues to intensify with age.” Find out where you can find Pleasantville Creamery retailers on their website, and visit them on Facebook and Twitter for product updates, including new and seasonal ice cream flavours.
